Overview
Field Service Engineer β Poultry Equipment
Salary: Β£45,000 β Β£50,000 (including shift allowance) + Overtime
Location: Hybrid / Field-Based (UK-Wide)
Hours: Full-Time | 8-Hour Standard Day Shift | Overtime & Weekend Availability
Please note: Candidates will not be considered without proven poultry processing equipment maintenance experience.

Responsibilities
- Adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and maintain a clean, safe working environment
- Conduct machine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance across poultry sites
- Respond to mechanical breakdowns and provide hands-on technical support
- Design, manufacture, and test bespoke tooling and equipment as required
- Maintain a professional attitude and represent Syntech and its clients to the highest standards
- Complete full training on poultry processing equipment
Requirements
- Previous experience maintaining poultry processing machinery (ESSENTIAL)
- Minimum of 3 years\\\β experience in mechanical engineering or field service roles
- Strong workshop skills including welding, lathe operation, and the use of hand/power tools
- Full UK Driving Licence (required)
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent recognised qualification
- Competent IT skills, including use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Desirable Skills and Certifications
- Working at height
- COSHH awareness
- First Aid qualification
- Knowledge of food industry health and safety standards
- Forklift truck licence
- IPAF 3a licence
- Lifting and slinging certification
