A well-established subcontract precision engineering company is seeking an experienced CMM Inspector to join their quality team in a busy machine shop environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting machined components, completing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), and ensuring all parts meet required aerospace and customer quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspection of machined components using precision measurement tools
  • Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in line with customer requirements
  • Operate and programme CMM equipment (Aberlink experience preferred but not essential)
  • Perform patrol inspections throughout production
  • Sign off inspection documentation and ensure full traceability
  • Support adherence to AS9100 and quality system requirements
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a quality inspection role within manufacturing
  • Experience using inspection hand tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and FAI documentation
  • Experience completing inspection reports / documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic calibration experience desirable
  • Experience within aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering preferred
  • Fluent English essential
  • Must already have full legal right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship available)

Desirable

  • CMM experience (Aberlink or similar)
  • AS9100 environment experience
  • Understanding of aerospace traceability standards
