Syntech Recruitment is seeking a Senior / Lead Pipe Fitter to join a well-established mechanical team delivering critical infrastructure, maintenance and capital projects across Ireland. This is a hands-on senior position working alongside Pipe Fitters, Welders, Fabricators and Mechanical Fitters. You'll remain actively involved in complex pipe fitting work while also providing technical guidance, mentoring and leadership to more junior members of the team. The role offers a €60,000 salary, 5% annual bonus, long-term stability and varied project exposure across industrial and critical infrastructure environments. What You'll Be Doing * Lead and support pipe fitting activities across maintenance, repair and installation works * Carry out complex pipe fitting in line with engineering drawings, specifications and project programmes * Provide on-site guidance, mentoring and technical support to Pipe Fitters and apprentices * Work across capital replacement projects, mechanical maintenance and new installations * Safely transport heavy pipework, materials and equipment using a company van between plant areas and external workshops * Support site supervisors and engineering management with job planning and execution * Accurately record completed work using MAXIMO, the site's CMMS system * Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across engineering and plant areas * Travel to additional sites across Ireland when required * Ensure all work is completed safely, compliantly and in line with current legislation and site procedures What We're Looking For * QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Pipe Fitting - essential * Minimum 5+ years' experience within an industrial or mechanical environment * Previous experience operating at Senior or Lead Pipe Fitter level, including mentoring or guiding others * Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, isometrics, engineering drawings and templates * Experience handling and installing large-bore / heavy pipework * Strong understanding of health and safety compliance within industrial environments * Confident and organised self-starter, capable of working independently when required * Good IT literacy, including Email, Microsoft Office and CMMS systems * Full, clean driving licence - essential * Company van provided What's on Offer * €60,000 base salary * 5% annual bonus * Full-time, permanent position * Monday to Friday working hours * Company van * Long-term, stable role within a growing engineering function * Opportunity to influence standards, culture and skill development on site * Varied project exposure across critical infrastructure and industrial environments Interested?
