A leading precision engineering business near Hemel Hempstead is looking to add a skilled CNC Turner to their twilight shift team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, well-established company supplying high-spec components to the aerospace industry.
What’s on Offer:
- Monday to Thursday 7pm - 5am {4-day working week}
- Clean, modern manufacturing facility
- Consistent, long-term opportunity
CNC Turner Responsibilities:
- Operate and set CNC lathes (Fanuc-controlled Takisawa machines) to produce precision aerospace parts
- Manufacture small to medium batch components to tolerances of +/- 0.025mm (and occasionally +/- 0.0125mm)
- Work with a range of materials including stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and aluminium
- Assist in developing manufacturing methods for new products
- Maintain accurate job timings and contribute to continuous improvement activities on the shop floor
CNC Turner Requirements:
- Experience operating and setting CNC turning machines within aerospace or similar high-spec industry
- Competent with Fanuc controls; experience on CMZ or Takisawa machines is beneficial
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering instructions
- Self-sufficient and capable of identifying and solving machining issues
- Ideally apprentice-trained or qualified by experience
