Experienced CNC Cylindrical Grinder Are you an experienced CNC Cylindrical Grinder with a passion for precision engineering? Join a world-class, successful manufacturing company at the forefront of the automotive and motorsport sectors. Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment producing high-quality components with a focus on excellence. Location / Hours Based near Newbury, this role offers a variety of shift patterns to suit your schedule: Nights: Monday to Thursday, 19:00 – 06:00 (30% shift allowance premium) Weekends: Friday to Sunday, 06:00 – 18:30 (25% shift allowance premium)Both shifts include unpaid breaks (1 hour for nights, 30 minutes for weekends). Pay Structure Base Rate:£18 – £19 per hour Nights: £23.40 – £24.70 per hour (including 30% uplift) = £56,000 Weekends: £22.50 – £23.75 per hour (including 25% uplift) = £44,000 Responsibilities As a CNC Cylindrical Grinder, your duties will include: Operating Studer CNC Grinding machinery to produce high-quality metallic components to tight tolerances. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure accurate machining. Performing self-inspection of components using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, verniers, and gauges). Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines. Requirements To excel in this role, you should have: Experience: At least 3 years of experience working with Studer machines or similar CNC grinding equipment. Expertise: Proven track record of machining to tight tolerances for aerospace or motorsport-grade components. Inspection Skills: Proficiency in using tools and techniques for self-inspection. Apprenticeship Training: 5 years of apprenticeship training in a related field (desirable but not essential).
