Syntech Recruitment is partnering with our client, a leading precision engineering company specialising in the medical device and aerospace sectors, to recruit a CMM Programmer with a strong background in quality inspection.
CMM Programmer Duties:
- Programme and operate CMM machines to perform precise measurements of complex components, ensuring accuracy against engineering specifications.
- Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring full compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
- Create, modify, and maintain CMM programs based on technical drawings and inspection criteria.
- Generate and maintain detailed inspection reports and quality documentation to support traceability and audits.
- Investigate non-conformances by providing detailed inspection data and assisting in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Assist with calibration and maintenance of measuring equipment to ensure consistent performance.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the implementation of best practices in quality inspection and measurement systems.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CMM Programmer or Quality Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device or aerospace sectors.
- Strong knowledge of CMM programming (e.g., PC-DMIS or similar software) and inspection processes.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to product quality and continuous improvement.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
