At Syntech Recruitment, we’re proud to work with a world-renowned manufacturing business in their search for an experienced CADCAM Programmer. The successful individual will be at the heart of the machine shop, creating toolpaths and proving out programs to hand over to the CNC Operators to run.

CADCAM Programmer Responsibilities:

  • Creating toolpaths for precision components using HyperMill and/or Esprit, with upcoming transition to SolidCAM
  • Programming for 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines and proving out programs on the shop floor
  • Producing one-off and small-batch components to strict medical-grade tolerances
  • Supporting the integration and implementation of SolidCAM into the CAM workflow
  • Ensuring H&S compliance and cleanroom operational standards
  • Collaborating with machinists, engineers, and QA to optimise performance

CADCAM Programmer Requirements:

  • Experience with 5-axis CNC programming and strong general machining knowledge
  • Proficiency in HyperMill and/or Esprit; any exposure to SolidCAM is a bonus
  • Ability to program and prove out on 3, 4, and 5 axis machines
  • A hands-on mindset with attention to detail and pride in high-quality output
  • Experience in the medical device sector is desirable but not essential
  • Eagerness to be involved in technology transition and improvement projects
