Location: Near Aylesbury (HP19)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:00 (37.5 hours per week).
We’re supporting a well-established engineering manufacturer near Aylesbury who are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join their Goods Inwards and Stores team. This is a hands-on role combining inspection and stores responsibilities, where you’ll be responsible for ensuring incoming materials and finished components meet required quality standards before progressing through the business.

Quality Inspector Responsibilities
- Carry out goods-in inspection of raw materials and components
- Inspect and verify parts using hand-held measuring equipment (verniers, calipers, micrometers)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure compliance
- Complete final inspection and packing of finished items
- Accurately complete works tickets and quality documentation
- Book in materials using the internal ERP system
- Support general stores activities when required
- Work in line with the company’s Quality Management System
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience using hand-held inspection tools (verniers, calipers, micrometers)
- Experience working within a stores or goods-in environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Comfortable working with systems and processes (ERP experience ideal)
- Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
