We are searching for a high-caliber Design Engineer with expert-level CREO knowledge to join a dynamic team in Meath. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded engineer who enjoys seeing their designs move from concept to reality. You will be working on large-scale mechanical assemblies and high-impact engineering projects within a business that truly values work-life balance—offering a 1:00 PM finish every Friday.
Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- Concept to Completion: Translate conceptual sales drawings into manufacturing-ready technical drawings.
- Technical Design: Use CREO to design complex mechanical assemblies, including conveyors, support structures, and handling systems.
- Project Ownership: Manage your own engineering projects from initial specification and planning through to final delivery.
- Collaboration: Lead design reviews and value engineering sessions to ensure seamless product integration.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with clients, the internal supply chain, and production teams to ensure a smooth design-to-build handover.
- Documentation: Produce detailed 3D models and precise manufacturing drawings to support installation and production.
Design Engineer Requirements:
- Education: Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Technical Expertise: 4+ years of experience in mechanical design or systems engineering.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in CREO is essential (SolidWorks or AutoCAD experience is also advantageous).
- Project Management: A proven track record of delivering complex projects within tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and internal liaison.
