Location: Ascot, Berkshire (Commutable from Bracknell, Wokingham, Reading, Maidenhead, Slough, Windsor and surrounding areas)

Salary: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour (£30,420 - £32,448 basic) | OTE £37,440 - £39,936

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am – 5:30pm, Friday finish 1pm (45-hour week)

We are recruiting for a Toolroom Technician to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based near Ascot, Berkshire. Working within a modern, clean CNC machining environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring production teams have the tooling and fixtures they need to manufacture complex, high-value components used within military and aerospace applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of CNC tooling and fixtures who enjoys working in an organised, hands-on environment supporting manufacturing operations.

What's on Offer

  • £15.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on experience
  • OTE of £37,440 - £39,936 including regular overtime
  • 39 standard hours plus 6 hours overtime paid at 1.5x each week
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Company pension (3% employer contribution when you contribute 5%)

Toolroom Technician Responsibilities

  • Set up and prepare tooling and fixtures for production
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the toolroom
  • Store, maintain and distribute tooling equipment efficiently
  • Monitor and control toolroom inventory
  • Coordinate tooling requirements with the production team
  • Maintain accurate records of tooling usage and stock
  • Order new tooling and equipment when required
  • Ensure tooling is maintained in good condition and available when needed
  • Support continuous organisation and housekeeping within the toolroom

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working within a CNC machining or manufacturing toolroom
  • Strong understanding of CNC tooling and workholding fixtures
  • Experience managing tooling inventory and stock control
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Methodical and proactive approach to work
  • Experience using a Zoller tool presetting system would be advantageous but is not essential
