Location: Ascot, Berkshire (Commutable from Bracknell, Wokingham, Reading, Maidenhead, Slough, Windsor and surrounding areas)
Salary: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour (£30,420 - £32,448 basic) | OTE £37,440 - £39,936
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am – 5:30pm, Friday finish 1pm (45-hour week)
We are recruiting for a Toolroom Technician to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based near Ascot, Berkshire. Working within a modern, clean CNC machining environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring production teams have the tooling and fixtures they need to manufacture complex, high-value components used within military and aerospace applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of CNC tooling and fixtures who enjoys working in an organised, hands-on environment supporting manufacturing operations.
What's on Offer
- £15.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on experience
- OTE of £37,440 - £39,936 including regular overtime
- 39 standard hours plus 6 hours overtime paid at 1.5x each week
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Toolroom Technician Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare tooling and fixtures for production
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the toolroom
- Store, maintain and distribute tooling equipment efficiently
- Monitor and control toolroom inventory
- Coordinate tooling requirements with the production team
- Maintain accurate records of tooling usage and stock
- Order new tooling and equipment when required
- Ensure tooling is maintained in good condition and available when needed
- Support continuous organisation and housekeeping within the toolroom
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working within a CNC machining or manufacturing toolroom
- Strong understanding of CNC tooling and workholding fixtures
- Experience managing tooling inventory and stock control
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Organised with excellent attention to detail
- Methodical and proactive approach to work
- Experience using a Zoller tool presetting system would be advantageous but is not essential
