We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized SMT Production Set Up Operative to join our production team on the Twilight Shift. This crucial role focuses on the essential "kitting" and preparation stage of manufacturing, ensuring that our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production lines have exactly what they need to run smoothly, accurately, and without delay.

Responsibilities
  • Component Kitting: Accurately select, count, and prepare electronic components and materials required for specific SMT production runs based on pick lists and kitting instructions.
  • Line Set Up: Set up SMT feeders, component reels, and materials, ensuring everything is correctly loaded and verified before production begins.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels during the shift, report any shortages, and return unused components to the correct inventory locations post-run.
  • Quality Assurance: Verify part numbers, values, and polarities against documentation to prevent setup errors and ensure high-caliber production quality.
  • Traceability: Maintain accurate records of material movement and batch codes within the production tracking system.
Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment (experience with electronics, SMT components, or assembly is highly desirable).
  • Strong understanding of kitting processes and inventory component identification.
