As the HSEQ Engineer, you will play a key role in driving our client’s commitment to excellence in Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards. You will lead initiatives aligned to ISO and AS standards, act as the EHS Management Representative, and be the prime contact for supplier quality assurance. You'll contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and help ensure our systems meet both customer and regulatory expectations.
QHSE Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a compliant Business Management System aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and support ISO 45001 integration.
- Communicate compliance requirements across the organisation to ensure awareness and adherence.
- Lead internal HSE audits, from planning through to non-conformance closure.
- Manage customer compliance documentation (e.g. conflict minerals, environmental statements).
- Develop and track HSE KPIs, particularly energy, waste, and occupational health performance.
- Chair and develop the HSE Committee, embedding a behavioural safety culture across all levels.
- Deliver health, safety, environmental and quality training company-wide.
QHSE Engineer Requirements:
- Degree-level education preferred (minimum Level 4 HNC in Electronics/Electrical Engineering).
- NEBOSH International Certificate in Health & Safety.
- Auditor certified in any/all of the following: AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
- Demonstrable experience in manufacturing/engineering, ideally within electronics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; skilled in data analysis and quality reporting.
- Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and supplier negotiation skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
- NEBOSH Environmental or Fire Safety Certificates.
- Professional qualifications such as CQI or equivalent in Quality Management.
- Working knowledge of electronics engineering or related disciplines.
