Salary: £18 – £20 per hour

Hours: 39 hours per week

Overview

The successful candidate will join a small, hands-on maintenance team and will also have the opportunity to support mechanical builds of bespoke machinery and equipment projects when required. This position would suit a mechanically biased maintenance engineer, fitter, technician or service engineer looking for a stable site-based role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance & Fault Finding: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on production machinery and plant equipment. Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Production Equipment Support: Maintain a range of manufacturing equipment, machinery and supporting plant systems. Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and supporting production teams.
  • Maintenance Planning: Contribute to the site maintenance schedule and PPM programme, helping to improve reliability and reduce breakdowns.
  • Site Facilities: Assist with general maintenance across the site, including mechanical infrastructure and auxiliary equipment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety and production efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Experience:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance, engineering, or mechanical technician role.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
  • Experience working with industrial machinery, plant equipment or production environments.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, production or industrial environments.
  • Basic electrical fault-finding or multi-skilled maintenance experience.
