TIG Welder / Fabricator – Stainless Steel Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire Salary: £35-38k Overtime: Paid for work outside core hours Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30/8:00am – 4:00/4:30pm, Friday 7:30/8:00am – 12:30/1:00pm Job Type: Permanent, full-time Syntech Recruitment are recruiting two TIG Welder / Fabricators for a specialist cryogenic engineering company in Abingdon. They design and build high-specification low-temperature equipment, including vacuum-insulated stainless steel pipework, for customers from major industrial gas users to research laboratories in the UK and abroad. This is precision stainless work on vacuum and cryogenic assemblies, not repetitive production welding. If you take pride in clean, accurate TIG welds on stainless and want to work on specialist kit, it’s worth a look. Benefits * Overtime paid outside core hours * Early finish on Fridays * Cycle to work scheme * Free on-site parking TIG Welder / Fabricator Responsibilities * TIG welding stainless steel assemblies and pipework for vacuum and cryogenic applications * Fabricating components and assemblies from engineering drawings * Preparing, fitting and finishing parts to a high standard * Checking your own work for weld quality and accuracy * Working alongside the workshop team and site fitters to meet project deadlines * Keeping a safe, organised workshop TIG Welder / Fabricator Requirements * Proven TIG welding experience on stainless steel * Able to read and work from engineering drawings * Good all-round fabrication skills * Pipe welding experience and weld coding are an advantage * Vacuum, cryogenic, pressure or other high-specification fabrication experience is an advantage * Living within commuting distance of Abingdon If you’re a TIG Welder with strong stainless steel experience, apply today.
