Syntax Consultancy Ltd. is on the lookout for a skilled ServiceNow Designer to enhance our dynamic team. This contract role is particularly suited for professionals with extensive experience in the Telecommunications sector and a robust understanding of ServiceNow functionalities. In this position, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing tailored ServiceNow solutions that meet our clients' needs.

What you'll do
- Develop and customize ServiceNow solutions that align with the specific requirements of clients, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
- Offer continuous support and configuration adjustments across various ServiceNow modules to enhance performance and usability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow designs.
- Conduct thorough testing of ServiceNow applications to ensure they meet quality standards and function as intended.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all ServiceNow configurations and customizations to facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they are well-equipped to utilize the ServiceNow platform effectively.
- Engage in system integration projects, leveraging web services and various technologies to enhance ServiceNow capabilities.
- Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow releases and features, implementing relevant updates to improve existing solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to ServiceNow applications, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
- Participate in project planning sessions, contributing insights and expertise to drive successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements within the ServiceNow environment.
- Assist in the development of ServiceNow best practices and standards to ensure consistency across implementations.
Requirements
- A strong background in the Telecommunications industry, with a proven track record of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in ServiceNow design, development, implementation, and administration, showcasing a deep understanding of the platform.
- Familiarity with key ServiceNow components, including IT Service Management (ITSM), Customer Service Management (CSM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Integrated Risk Management (IRM), and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Proficient in utilizing ServiceNow Glide Objects, such as GlideRecords, GlideSystem, GlideAggregate, and GlideAjax, to enhance application functionality.
- Experience with system integration techniques, employing web services and technologies like XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, and REST to connect ServiceNow with other systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
Nice to have
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Orchestration modules, enhancing automation capabilities.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile project environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices and frameworks, contributing to improved service delivery.
- Previous experience in a consulting role, providing insights and recommendations to clients.
- Understanding of security best practices within the ServiceNow platform to ensure data integrity.
