Python Full Stack Developer needed for a permanent career opportunity based in Leeds (Hybrid). Start ASAP during March/April 2026.

Hybrid Working: 3 days/week remote (WFH), and 2 days/week working on-site in the Leeds office.

A chance to work with a leading global IT transformation business specialising in large-scale Government projects.

Key experience, responsibilities + tasks:

  • Leading the design + development of complex applications using Core Python, and web frameworks like Flask + Django.
  • Strong Python development expertise, and strong leadership skills, including the ability to drive development projects, and mentor junior developers.
  • Front-end development using Vue.js, JavaScript, CSS and HTML to create seamless user interfaces.
  • SQL Server database experience, including developing / optimizing SQL Server databases, data analysis, and efficient data storage / retrieval.
  • Familiar with AWS Cloud Services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, serverless architectures + Docker containers.
  • Developing applications using event-driven programming paradigms + adhering to design patterns like Model View Template (MVT) + Model View Controller (MVC).
  • Mentoring junior developers in coding standards, GitHub version control, and code tracking.
  • Overseeing integration of various software components, and debugging and trouble-shooting applications.
  • Implementing best practice in software development, including exception handling, data structures + object-oriented programming (OOP).

Technical Environment: Full Stack, Python, Flask, Django, Vue.js, React, CSS, HTML, Agile methods, Design Patterns, Object Relational Mappers (ORMs), server-side templating languages, Unit/API testing, AWS, CI/CD.
