Overview

In the role of Senior Consultant/Associate Team Lead, Reinsurance Core Systems you will be a senior specialist within a collaborative, high-performing team supporting our reinsurance clients globally with their core system needs – with a focus on working with DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance.

As a Senior Consultant/Associate Team Lead of the Centre of Excellence Team, you will be responsible for leading cutting-edge implementations (including a deep dive into configurations, interfaces, and infrastructure topics) and providing hands-on client support.

You will support clients to optimize and maintain core processes which are vital to their business, while driving system enhancements that shape the future of reinsurance technology.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a key role in helping clients enhance their operations and leverage technology for business success.

You will be expected to provide high-quality support and guidance on all aspects of the platform, and champion best-in-class practices to drive exceptional value and continuous improvement.

  • Partnering with reinsurance clients to understand their business and technology strategy, analyse their business and core reinsurance system requirements, and implement tailored technology and business process solutions.
  • Act as the liaison between your team and clients on the day-to-day delivery, with an ability to think independently and communicate concisely.

Delivering high-quality pragmatic solutions to complex problems across the reinsurance value chain, by applying in-depth knowledge, ensuring resources are effectively managed and client objectives are met within agreed timelines.

  • Build trusted relationship with clients, positioning yourself and the team as reliable experts who deliver best‑in‑class recommendations.
  • Driving the holistic management of reinsurance technology .

With a core focus on maintaining a robust system, enabling the business to have consistent day-to-day business activities with little to no interruptions.

This includes, help desk support, bug triage and resolution, quality assurance, system and process enhancements, business analysis, developing custom built analytics and MI solutions, and system administration activities.

  • Support reinsurance platform projects including system implementations, data migrations, interface build and enhancement and rolling out new modules and upgrades.

Contributing quality output and collaborating proactively with colleagues to achieve team results.

  • Supporting the design and implementation of in-house tools which bring additional value to our reinsurance clients and team.

Suggesting improvements to the Centre of Excellence processes based on a sound knowledge of industry best practice.

  • Mentor and train junior consultants to increase industry specific knowledge and practical experiences across London market, UK Insurance and Reinsurance transformation – as well as share expertise with the internal UK team and wider.

Requirements

Education and Qualifications

You have completed a bachelor’s degree, with an advanced degree (such as an MA, MSc, or MBA) and/or other relevant qualifications considered a plus.

  • Key Skills and Behaviours
  • You are highly knowledgeable around the core reinsurance systems modules (e. g.

SICS P&C, SICS Life, SICS Cede , Assure Re etc) in addition to hands on experience working with the system administration/configurations.

  • You do not hesitate to be hands-on and bring your experience in target operating model and process design & development, project and stakeholder management as well as have the drive complete the deliverables to the highest standard.
  • You use your strong quantitative and qualitative skills to identify complex problems, consider them analytically and conceptualise solutions.
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills, making you a valuable asset in engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • You enjoy and are able to provide peer coaching and guidance on expertise to junior colleagues.
  • Highly structured, self-organised and detail-oriented professional.

  • Experience working with module of DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance.
  • Experience working with API based integrations including DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance SOAP/REST APIs.
  • Proficient in SQL and have an in-depth understanding of the SICS data model and database.
  • Experience developing custom built analytics, working with reporting tools, solutions, and building reports using SAP business objects for DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance.
  • Experience of data migration into DXC SICS/Assure Reinsurance using the MTK utility (or other methods).
  • Experience with Agile delivery, working within Scrum or SAFe, and are comfortable operating within an agile environment with a wider delivery team.

*Specific previous experience: You bring a minimum of 4-5 years' experience in an Insurance / Reinsurance / Insurtech or consultancy firm with exposure to Insurance / Reinsurance clients.

*Mobility requirements: Must be willing to travel to client office(s) as per client requests.
