We deliver industry‑leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You are an engineer with a deep passion for digital design and a drive to make a tangible impact in the semiconductor industry. You thrive in dynamic, customer‑facing roles where your technical expertise and communication skills come together to solve complex challenges. You possess a strong foundation in RTL design, synthesis and place & route, ideally with hands‑on experience in ASIC or SoC projects. You’re motivated by opportunities to collaborate with leading‑edge customers doing established and advanced node designs. You enjoy collaborating with internal stakeholders, for example R&D, to translate customer needs and related product enhancements into innovative technical solutions. At Synopsys, you will work with the most innovative EDA tools available today, accompanied by generative AI solutions like Co‑Pilots and emerging agentic AI applications. You will support shaping the future of advanced semiconductor chip designs.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide pre‑sales and post‑sales technical support for Synopsys synthesis tools including DC NXT and Fusion Compiler, working directly with customer design teams on RTL‑to‑GDSII implementation challenges.
  • Develop deep understanding of customer design objectives, constraints and bottlenecks, then architect technical solutions using the Synopsys digital EDA platform that fit their flow and schedule.
  • Partner with Sales to identify and qualify new business opportunities across existing and new accounts, translating technical wins into growth.
  • Work directly with Synopsys R&D teams to escalate field issues, influence product roadmaps and drive feature development that addresses real customer pain points.
  • Deliver technical presentations, product overviews and hands‑on training to customer engineering teams, tailored to their specific design challenges and tool adoption stage.
  • Troubleshoot complex timing, power and area optimisation problems in customer environments, providing solutions that work within their existing constraints and methodologies.
  • Travel to customer sites across the UK and Europe as needed to support critical engagements and build long‑term technical relationships.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Enable customers to close timing and meet power targets on complex SoC and IP block designs that directly affect product tape‑out schedules.
  • Accelerate tool adoption and methodology improvements that reduce customer design cycle time by weeks or months.
  • Influence Synopsys product development priorities based on real field data, making the tools more competitive and easier to deploy.
  • Expand Synopsys footprint in key accounts by solving hard problems that build trust and open doors for additional tool sales.
  • Reduce customer escalations and support load by training teams to use synthesis tools effectively and avoid common pitfalls.
  • Strengthen the technical credibility of the Synopsys brand in the UK and European markets through expert‑level customer engagement.
  • Help design teams navigate the increasing complexity of advanced node implementation, ensuring they can leverage new process technologies successfully.

What You’ll Need

  • 6+ years of hands‑on experience in digital design implementation, including RTL‑to‑GDSII flows for SoC or IP block design.
  • Strong working knowledge of synthesis, timing constraints and design optimisation techniques in real production environments.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to work with customers and teams across multiple countries.
  • Experience with Synopsys digital tools such as DC NXT or Fusion Compiler is a strong plus, or deep experience with equivalent synthesis and place‑and‑route platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex technical problems in customer environments and provide solutions that work within their constraints.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to the Munich office and customer sites across the UK and Europe.

Who You Are

  • You learn new tools and methodologies quickly, and you are comfortable being the person in the room who does not know everything yet but knows how to find the answer.
  • You are equally comfortable presenting a product roadmap to a VP of Engineering and sitting with a design engineer.
  • You do not wait for perfect information to act; you work with what you have, ask clarifying questions and move forward without creating chaos downstream.
  • You have a point of view on what good digital implementation looks like, and you are willing to push back when a customer plan or internal strategy does not make technical sense.
  • You manage multiple customer engagements and internal projects at once without losing track of commitments or letting details slip.

The Team You’ll Be Part Of

You’ll join a dynamic, UK‑based Technical Sales Group dedicated to delivering world‑class technical support and solutions for leading semiconductor companies. Together, you’ll collaborate with Sales, R&D and global engineering teams to drive customer success, influence product direction and support Synopsys leadership in EDA innovation. Your team values diversity, open communication and continuous professional growth, fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
