We are seeking outstanding individuals to join the UK’s leading and fastest-growing pathology organisation – a scientific service with a clear clinical purpose. Working in partnership with our service partners at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals and King’s College Hospital, as well as supporting our Synnovis Hub in Blackfriars, we are committed to setting the standard for the future of pathology.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Haematology Department at our modern facility based at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH), located just 20 minutes south of London. • Ensure efficient and effective patient care and appropriate management of resources within the Blood Sciences Laboratory.
  • Provide cross‑site support at King’s College Hospital as required.
  • Work across the core sub‑disciplines of General Haematology.

Qualifications

  • HCPC registered.
  • Completed the IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Haematology and Blood Transfusion or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Strong background in morphology.
  • Proactive approach and willingness to contribute fully to the service.
  • Experience in routine Haematology and Coagulation.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and associated quality processes.

Professional Development

You will have access to a comprehensive suite of learning opportunities through “The Synnovis Way” Development Programme, designed to help you unlock your potential, acquire new skills, and achieve your professional goals. Your development will be actively supported and tailored in collaboration with your line manager, ensuring alignment with your personal ambitions and career aspirations. In addition, you will be encouraged to engage with the wider scientific community through participation in symposiums, conferences, and peer group forums.

Working Environment

The laboratory is accredited to ISO 15189 standards and is an IBMS‑approved training centre for both Registration and Specialist Portfolios in Haematology, providing a supportive and structured environment for professional development. Our laboratories are highly automated, utilising Sysmex XN series FBS analysers and Sysmex CS/CN series coagulation analysers connected to EPIC as our LIMS.
