As a Phlebotomist you will play a vital role in patient care by collecting blood samples safely and efficiently from patients across hospital wards, outpatient clinics, and community locations throughout South Essex.
Responsibilities
- Delivering safe and professional blood sample collection, following infection control and sample identification protocols.
- Working across hospital wards, outpatient clinics, and community settings.
- Providing reassurance and care to all patients, maintaining dignity and professionalism.
- Labelling, handling, and dispatching specimens accurately in line with procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation (manual and electronic).
- Using appropriate PPE and adhering to health and safety and infection prevention standards.
- Participating in weekend and evening shifts as required.
