The Principal SRE – Azure Specialist will drive the design and implementation of automation, observability, and operational excellence within Syniti’s Microsoft Azure-hosted runtime environments. This engineer will lead the technical project to port Syniti’s SaaS architecture and services from AWS to Azure, ensuring platform consistency, operational parity, and regulatory alignment. They will serve as a cross-functional technical leader, developing resilient IaC frameworks, secure deployment models, and integrating Azure-native services with Kubernetes (AKS) and Syniti’s platform stack.

  • Design and maintain Azure-hosted environments supporting the Syniti SaaS platform across multiple global regions.
  • Build reusable IaC modules in Terraform for network, compute, and managed PaaS services.
  • Integrate Azure-native logging, security, and cost optimization with observability pipelines.
  • Lead incident resolution and proactive failure domain analysis within Azure-hosted regions.
  • Develop secure service-to-service communication standards leveraging Azure AD workload identity and pod identities.
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Security to meet UK, EU, and French regional regulatory requirements.
  • Support cloud region expansion and infrastructure builds via GitOps and pipeline automation.

Self-starter with deep understanding of hybrid cloud patterns and Azure ecosystems. Deep technical expertise across Azure infrastructure and platform services. Comfort working with engineers across DevOps, Security, and Product teams to deliver shared outcomes. Strong customer service and problem-solving orientation.

5+ years designing or operating in Azure environments including AKS, Storage, VNets, Private Link, Azure Monitor.

~2+ years of Software Development experience.

~ Advanced scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go.

~ Experience supporting compliance efforts in UK/EU-regulated environments.
