Job Description
Join our Seedcare team as Production Technical Specialist where you\’ll drive operational excellence through technical leadership in our UK production facility. This hands-on role combines practical chemical manufacturing expertise with innovative agricultural solutions, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient processes. You\’ll work with modern equipment and lead continuous improvements, delivering strong production targets while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily production operations
- Drive operational consistency and regulatory compliance across the plant
- Coordinate weekly production planning with teams
- Lead resolution of process deviations and equipment issues
- Own production data analysis
- Drive continuous improvement in HSE, Quality, and Performance
- Manage Plant Operational and HSEQ documentation
- Support operator development and competency building
- Facilitate New Product Introductions and Change Management
Qualifications
- Chemical Manufacturing experience with strong process optimization skills
- Technical expertise in:
- Solids Charging
- Particle Size reduction
- Mixing
- Liquid Transfer
- Fill & Pack
- Clean In Place (CIP)
- Proficiency in production software systems

Syngenta\’s Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre is one of our two award-winning manufacturing sites in the UK. The site was founded in 1919 and today employs nearly 400 skilled people in a variety of roles that include manufacturing, engineering, scientific and production support. Our goal is to operate “safely, reliably and cost effectively” and to help growers protect their crops and increase their yield.
At Syngenta Grangemouth we have four plants dedicated to active ingredient (AI) manufacture, and one formulation and packaging plant. A 5th plant due to open in 2026.
