Job Description

We\’re seeking a dedicated Production Support Officer to bridge our planning and operational activities. This role focuses on shop floor scheduling, plant campaign management, and process optimization while ensuring quality standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage shop floor scheduling and formulation planning
• Maintain SAP system including BOMs and routings
• Execute batch scheduling and production recording
• Monitor quality processes and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with supply chain for campaign optimization
• Track inventory and material ordering processes
• Report on plant KPIs and performance metrics
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives
• Develop planning tools for scenario modeling
• Maintain VPC tracking and management
• Provide training on planning activities

Qualifications

• Vocational qualification in Operations or related field
• 2+ years\’ experience in production support
• SAP systems knowledge
• Experience with complex equipment operation
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work under moderate supervision
• Good communication and documentation abilities
• Understanding of manufacturing procedures
• May require specialized certification

Syngenta\’s Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre is one of our two award-winning manufacturing sites in the UK. The site was founded in 1919 and today employs nearly 400 skilled people in a variety of roles that include manufacturing, engineering, scientific and production support. Our goal is to operate “safely, reliably and cost effectively” and to help growers protect their crops and increase their yield.

At Syngenta Grangemouth we have four plants dedicated to active ingredient (AI) manufacture, and one formulation and packaging plant. A 5th plant due to open in 2026.
