Job Description
Shape the future of agricultural production at Syngenta! We\\\'re seeking an experienced Production Planner to optimize our Seedcare Formulation Fill & Pack operations, driving efficiency and meeting customer demands across a 12-week horizon. This is a unique opportunity to shape and drive our planning systems through startup, first manufacture, and production ramp-up of our new facility which opens in 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and coordinate production plans across 0-12 week horizons
- Optimize manufacturing sequences for maximum efficiency
- Create and release production orders
- Maintain planning system parameters in ERP/SAP
- Lead weekly planning meetings with cross-functional teams
- Manage new product introduction planning activities
- Monitor production order fulfilment and recommend improvements
- Coordinate inventory management and rework plans
- Ensure material availability with Vendor Schedulers
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Degree in relevant field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-5 years production planning experience
- Strong MRPII and SAP/APO knowledge
- Advanced capacity planning skills
- Experience in FMCG/Food & Drink/Pharmaceutical industries, experience with batch manufacture desirable
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Strong problem-solving capabilities

Syngenta\\\'s Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre is one of our two award-winning manufacturing sites in the UK. The site was founded in 1919 and today employs nearly 400 skilled people in a variety of roles that include manufacturing, engineering, scientific and production support. Our goal is to operate “safely, reliably and cost effectively” and to help growers protect their crops and increase their yield.
At Syngenta Grangemouth we have four plants dedicated to active ingredient (AI) manufacture, and one formulation and packaging plant. Our Seedcare asset is due to open in 2026.
