To support this mission, Syngenta’s Hiring Team is seeking a Hybrid Procurement Business Process Consultant. The new colleague will act as the bridge between business strategy, process architecture, and digital technology - ensuring procurement workflows are continuously optimised through data, automation, and human-AI collaboration. The role moves beyond ERP configuration support to own the intelligent transformation of procurement processes: identifying where AI replaces or augments manual effort, building the business case for automation, governing data quality as an enabler of AI performance, and driving adoption of new ways of working across a global procurement community.

  • Procurement Subject Matter Expert or Global Procurement stream lead of major projects and initiatives to deliver improvements towards best-in-class process & technology implementation.
  • Collect and document business requirements for project and process improvement/automation efforts.
  • Facilitate process workflow modelling to collaborate on process improvements, automation capabilities and clearly defined end-to-end use cases.
  • Review information and trends to ensure that the output of processes is achieving the desired results and that services are meeting agreed upon service levels.
  • Conduct maturity assessments against the process activities to highlight areas of improvement or concerns and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Act as the interface between IT, business users and business support teams.
  • Requirement gathering from countries on new requirements or changes in the existing setup.
  • Drive solution design to facilitate new requirements including system configuration.
  • Mapping and creation of all relevant documentation such as Business requirements.
  • Support the Procurement Operations leadership in the capacity of SME for future releases in Procurement platforms and small changes.
  • Track major incident management process and ensure adherence of the process and escalation requirements within the various support and delivery areas.
  • Procurement focal point for internal & external audit initiatives in the region.

Qualifications

  • Process Architecture & Redesign: Proven capability to re-engineer end-to-end procurement processes using AI-first design principles - architecting future-state workflows that leverage automation, data intelligence, and human-machine collaboration.
  • SAP S/4HANA expertise: Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA procurement processes (P2P, sourcing, supplier management, MDM). Experience in SAP projects including process governance, defect management, and go-live/hypercare support.
  • Data Literacy & Storytelling: Ability to work with procurement data sets, interpret analytical outputs, and translate complex insights into clear strategic narratives.
  • AI & Digital Fluency: Demonstrated ability to evaluate, implement, and govern AI-driven solutions in a procurement context. Comfortable with intelligent automation tools, GenAI applications, and agentic AI concepts. Able to interpret model outputs and challenge AI recommendations with sound business judgement.
  • Digital Procurement Tools: Familiarity with AI-native procurement platforms (Coupa, Jaggaer, Ivalua, SAP Ariba, SAP Business AI / Joule).
  • Change Management: Experience designing and delivering change programmes for technology transformation, ideally with specific capability in building trust in AI tools and embedding new behaviours. Expertise in business process management and value stream mapping. Know-how about PMI/Waterfall, Hybrid project delivery, Agile & Operational Excellence is a plus.
