Job Description

We\’re seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our innovative manufacturing team. You\’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our plant\’s control and electrical systems. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment. You\’ll collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and eliminate defects, develop maintenance routines, and calibrate instruments
• Assist in plant design, modification, and hazard analysis
• Provide technical support, training, and apprentice development
• Implement HSEQ standards and environmental safeguards
• Manage SAP data, coordinate with contractors, and procure materials
• Participate in performance management and report safety incidents
• Support reliability improvements and ensure efficient operations

Qualifications

• Relevant apprenticeship or HNC with 3+ years hands-on experience
• In-depth knowledge of engineering systems and COMAH site requirements
• Proficiency in SAP and problem-solving techniques
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to HSEQ standards and continuous improvement

• 37.5 working hours per week Mon – Fri
• 3.5 rota days off over Christmas + hours bank of 41 hours to use throughout the year for occasional time off.
