Responsibilities

  • Defining product vision aligned with business strategy.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmap, translating strategic goals into prioritized backlog items, while identifying value drivers and defining success metrics (OKRs, KPIs).
  • Leading cross‑functional teams of analysts, engineers, business product owners and experts to maximise product value and meet business goals.
  • Sharing product successes and learnings to drive broader adoption, while continuously measuring and optimizing value.
  • Owning and prioritising the product backlog with the Business Product Owner and managing scope/time/cost/value trade‑offs.
  • Applying Agile practices effectively across sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
  • Ensuring resolution and root cause analysis of cross‑boundary operational issues.
  • Tracking and communicating post‑launch value realisation and maintaining total cost of ownership visibility.
  • Managing risks and dependencies, while overseeing vendor and partner relationships.
  • Keeping up to speed on latest market offerings/technologies related to the product, their potential value and constraints.
  • Acting as voice of the customer to drive adoption.

Qualifications

  • University undergraduate and/or advanced degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Sciences or other relevant educational experience.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience of stakeholder and change management with proven ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated career experience in leading product‑centric teams & agile product management, with a track record of driving technical product roadmaps.
  • Fluency in conceptual product architecture with knowledge of techniques for prioritisation and defining success metrics.
  • Collaborative, creative and curious value‑oriented mindset, seeing digital technologies as an enabler to drive profitable business outcomes.
  • Ability to engage with business and technical leaders to ensure expectations are set appropriately.
  • Capability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to change.
  • Strategic thinking and system mindset with the ability to analyse and simplify complex problems, articulate trade‑offs resulting in cut‑through while maintaining end‑to‑end design integrity.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Life Sciences business context is desired.

Jealott's Hill International Research Centre UK is situated in a pleasant semi‑rural surroundings between Bracknell and Maidenhead and is the place of work for approximately 800 Syngenta scientists and support staff. Jealott's Hill is one of the main global research and development sites and key activities include research into discovery of new active ingredients, new formulation technologies, product safety and technical support of our product range. Additional location within the UK can be even considered.
