Job Description
We are looking for a HPC Lead to manage high-performance computing infrastructure for R&D scientists, including clusters, GPUs, storage and notebook environments.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of advanced technology and agricultural R&D, partnering with engineers, product leaders and scientific stakeholders on capabilities with real-world impact.

- Lead and apply deep expertise in HPC cluster management to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
- Lead and apply deep expertise in NVIDIA GPU architecture and provisioning to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
- Lead and apply deep expertise in MPI, storage and job scheduling to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
- Lead and apply deep expertise in modern orchestration and Kubernetes-native HPC to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
- Lead and apply deep expertise in HPC vendor and investment strategy to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
- Lead and apply deep expertise in scientific-computing workload fluency to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.
- Collaborate across engineering, product and scientific teams to translate complex needs into practical solutions.
- Set a high bar for quality, documentation and thoughtful use of AI-assisted engineering.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to maximize computational efficiency and resource utilization.
- Establish and enforce security protocols, compliance standards, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure system reliability and data protection.
- Manage HPC infrastructure budgets, evaluate vendor solutions, and make strategic procurement decisions that balance cost, performance and organizational needs.
- Lead, mentor and develop engineering team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Create comprehensive documentation, training materials and best practices guides to enable scientists and engineers to effectively utilize HPC resources.

- Demonstrable experience in HPC vendor and investment strategy
- Demonstrable experience in scientific-computing workload fluency

- Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams to drive technical excellence
- Strong background in infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools
- Experience with HPC performance monitoring, profiling and optimization techniques
- Knowledge of security protocols, compliance standards and disaster recovery procedures for high-performance computing environments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent English, written and spoken
