To support this mission, Syngenta's Hiring Team is seeking an Onsite, Principal Formulation Scientist in Jealott's Hill, UK.Accountabilities: Independently defines project plans and delivers a portfolio of projects. Influences the technical direction of other's projects within the site's formulation community. Actively identifies and explores opportunities to generate broad IP in own projects. Supports and influences the development and implementation of science & technology strategy at site or department in areas of expertise. First degree in Chemistry or broadly related scientific disciplineA strong colloid or physical organic chemist with a PhD or relevant industrial experience in formulation scienceFluent in English, written and verbalBasic knowledge of project managementHands-on experience of working in laboratory with proven track record of working safely, independently and efficientlyBasic knowledge of data science with skills to support experiment design and data analysisDesired Qualifications: Experience developing new technologies and deploying them into commercial application and/orExperience in developing formulations within an industrial setting, with an understanding of the compromises required when developing new productsAdditional InformationJealott's Hill International Research Centre UK is situated in pleasant semi-rural surroundings between Bracknell and Maidenhead and is the place of work for approximately 800 Syngenta scientists and support staff.
