Job Description
Our new Turf Technical Manager will have a key role within a small but high-performing team, covering the UK and Ireland with Syngenta\’s market-leading turf plant protection and biological portfolio. This position requires some travel across the region to support the country business manager with key accounts and foster strong industry connections, presenting an excellent opportunity to elevate the candidate\’s profile within the industry for the leading manufacturer in the turf sector.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities include, but are not limited to;
- Provide comprehensive turf technical support to end users and trade customers
- Support the country business manager to develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
- Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty through effective communication and problem-solving
- Act as a catalyst for ideas and future opportunities for the Syngenta turf business portfolio
- Produce technical insights, blogs, and newsletters alongside marketing colleagues to support the Syngenta turf portfolio, demonstrating
- Support colleagues at events and customer visits, enhancing Syngenta\’s presence and reputation in the turf industry
- Work closely with the Regional Technical Manager and local colleagues to support product trials and customer trials
Qualifications and required experience
- Hands-on experience in the professional quality turf industry, with demonstrated technical expertise in turf management and plant protection
- BASIS qualification (preferred) or equivalent professional certification in agricultural/horticultural sciences
- Proven track record in technical roles, with exceptional knowledge of turf maintenance, disease management, and plant protection products
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to create technical content, deliver presentations, and conduct training sessions
- Established network within the UK and Ireland turf industry, with experience in building and maintaining professional relationships
- Ability to travel extensively throughout UK and Ireland

This role can be based either in Cambridge or Manchester with a flexible work mode available.
