We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual to provide a timely, positive, and effective service to the multi-disciplinary teams based at the Manchester Office. The role will sit within a small team, providing administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the site. This is a dynamic and varied role which provides excellent customer service both internally and externally, to multiple stakeholders working closely with site facilities and IT team.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • To provide effective business and administrative support for the Manchester Office
  • To ensure site functions have relevant equipment, set up of an effective work environment through collaboration with the site facilities and IT team
  • To be responsible for the tidiness and restocking of stationery for the site, including meeting rooms
  • Coordinate relevant courier services for internal stakeholders
  • On request arrange meetings and events, including booking venues, transport and catering
  • Ability to keep accurate spending records
  • To support with onboarding process for New Starters
  • To raise accurate purchase orders, being aware of relevant information needed to create orders successfully
  • Able to develop good working relationships with the community in Manchester and quickly become familiar with activities where they can provide effective business support
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Share point, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Commitment to providing a responsive and helpful service

This role could be covered by two part-time job sharing or open to a full-time employment. The role is based in the Syngenta Manchester office in Didsbury. This role is a key role to the operation of the site, depending on whether it’s job share or full-time, there is a requirement to be in the office. The site is a hub hosting varied Global, Regional and Local roles, including Supply Chain, Digital IT, Sourcing, Communications to Change Management and Quality Assurance roles.
