We are seeking a skilled QC Shift Analyst to join our Quality Control team in Grangemouth. This role involves performing quality control analysis of samples from production plants, while ensuring efficient manufacturing processes through precise analytical work and collaboration with the day team.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyse samples from manufacturing plants within agreed timelines
- Evaluate product quality against specifications
- Maintain and calibrate analytical equipment per quality systems
- Monitor equipment performance and assess result accuracy
- Provide first-line support for at-line analysis issues
- Train team members in analytical procedures
- HNC or equivalent in Chemistry-related discipline
- Hands‑on experience with GC, LC, and CDS operations
- Proven track record in analytical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
- Working knowledge of ISO9001 quality management systems
- Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong collaborative skills with ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
- Flexibility to work in a shift pattern
Syngenta’s Grangemouth Manufacturing Centre is one of our two award‑winning manufacturing sites in the UK. The site was founded in 1919 and today employs nearly 400 skilled people in a variety of roles that include manufacturing, engineering, scientific and production support. Our goal is to operate “safely, reliably and cost effectively” and to help growers protect their crops and increase their yield. At Syngenta Grangemouth we have four plants dedicated to active ingredient (AI) manufacture, and an existing finished product formulation and packaging plant, along with a new Seedcare plant currently under construction with a completion date in 2026.
