The HR Technology Business Architect serves as a strategic catalyst driving digital transformation of the human resources functions to enhance organizational effectiveness, employee experience, and operational HR efficiency. This role bridges the gap between People Strategy, HR Digital Strategy, business needs and technological capabilities, ensuring that digital solutions are leveraged to their full potential in supporting the company’s objectives.
Here is how this role will help:
- Partnering with HR Operations Leadership Team to design, develop and propose strategic plans that align with operations, people and business objectives.
- Providing input and shaping the necessary project deliveries aligned to strategic plans through the HR Project Portfolio process, including creation/validation of business cases and ROI calculations.
- Analyzing industry trends, market conditions and internal data in all people‑related matters to provide actionable insights that shape business strategy.
- Identifying opportunities for innovation by exploring emerging trends and industry best practices to propose pilots utilizing new technologies, processes or products.
- Providing a consultancy approach offering strategic recommendations to support growth, innovation and process optimization.
- Acting as an ambassador for HR Digital’s strategy, vision and overall ambition across all work involvement.
- Partnering across HR Operations to enable maximum ROI from our HR Technologies in line with vendor releases.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on business priorities and initiatives.
- Facilitating cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective execution of business strategies.
- Representing the needs and perspectives of HR Operations in discussions with the HR Digital Systems team, collaborating effectively through to conclusion.
- Quality assuring strategic digital projects, assuring architectural design and alignment with business objectives.
- Participating as an active member of relevant project Steering Committees, ensuring project issues are uncovered and effective resolutions or mitigations are taken.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- BSc/MSc degree or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive experience in a digital business partner or similar role with a proven track record of driving business performance and delivering strategic initiatives through technology.
- Strong hands‑on experience in Workday configuration across multiple functional areas/domains with extensive overall experience in HR Technology.
- Preferred Workday Pro Certification.
- Previous project management experience with a track record of successfully delivering multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience working with senior leadership teams to design and manage cross‑functional projects and providing data‑driven business insights.
- Experience in fostering a culture of innovation and creative problem‑solving through strong collaboration.
- Strong understanding of business operations, financial principles, market dynamics and business case design and development.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills with a positive, proactive, results‑oriented mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle complex challenges with adaptability and flexibility in responding to changing business needs.

Jealotts Hill International Research Centre UK is situated in pleasant semi‑rural surroundings between Bracknell and Maidenhead and is the place of work for approximately 800 Syngenta scientists and support staff. Jealotts Hill is one of the main global research and development sites and key activities include research into discovery of new active ingredients, new formulation technologies, product safety and technical support of our product range. Additional locations in the UK can also be considered.
