We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Enterprise Data Architect to act as an internal expert and consultant for enterprise architecture across data, analytics, and cloud platforms within a defined global domain. Within the role you will lead the development and implementation of interoperability and ensure platforms and practices meet regulatory, sustainability, and performance objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading current-state and risk baseline assessments across platforms, data domains, lineage, and controls within the assigned domain, providing expert recommendations to business and technology leaders.
  • Leading the development and implementation of Data Governance KPIs and the Data Trust Scorecard for the domain, while ensuring alignment of the domain portfolio with R&D and Digital Agriculture priorities.
  • Owning and maintaining high-level system architectures, data product contract templates, and schema evolution policy within the domain.
  • Leading the application of MDM/semantic alignment standards and cost/sustainability guardrails, while providing direct input into enterprise-level standards based on domain experience.
  • Leading the embedding of governance into operating models within the domain.
  • Taking accountability for optimising data management operations for cost, performance, and compliance, while providing direct input into the multi-year roadmap.
  • Coaching, mentoring and sharing expertise to build capability across the function.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in enterprise or data architecture, with proven expertise in leading data management initiatives within a globally operating organisation.
  • Proven ability to architect and govern cloud data platforms (e.g. Lakehouse/warehouse etc.) supporting global data and AI initiatives.
  • Demonstrated track record delivering enterprise-grade data products, including MDM, metadata/lineage frameworks, interoperability models, and integration architectures scalable across regions and functions.
  • Experience leading the definition and implementation of data governance and operating models, setting rules and guardrails that support global standardization.
  • Ability to lead and directly contribute to multi-year data and AI capability roadmaps aligned to IT & Digital strategy, enterprise platforms, and regulatory expectations.
  • Ability to drive alignment across teams, domains, and global colleagues in a federated environment with strong influence, communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement across the global data landscape.
