Company Description

Syngenta Group, a global leader in agricultural technology and innovation, employs 60,000 people across more than 100 countries to transform agriculture through tailor-made solutions for farmers, society, and our planet. Our diverse portfolio encompasses seeds, crop protection, nutrition products, agronomic solutions, and digital services, all designed to help farmers produce healthy food, feed, fiber, and fuel while conserving natural resources and protecting the environment. Our mission is to address critical challenges such as climate change and food security through sustainable practices and cutting-edge solutions, while safeguarding the planet's resources.

Job Description

Help build the capability that enables safer, stronger performance across Syngenta. As Capability and Learning Programme Manager, you will lead the governance, development and adoption of our global HSE learning ecosystem — ensuring learning is accessible, relevant and used across the organisation.

Accountabilities and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the HSE Academy as the primary digital destination for HSE learning, shaping its content quality, user experience and development roadmap with subject-matter experts and senior stakeholders.
  • Own the myCompetence platform and its annual governance cycle, ensuring role requirements, competence records and approvals are accurate and aligned to the agreed framework.
  • Deliver regular learning and competence reporting, turning completion, competence and adoption data into clear insights and practical priorities for leaders.
  • Coordinate the creation, review and lifecycle management of HSE learning content, keeping priority materials current, consistent and fit for purpose.
  • Build and facilitate a global training network, bringing together colleagues across regions and businesses to share practice, align approaches and identify learning needs.
  • Increase engagement through targeted promotion and internal communications and manage the HSE Continuing Professional Development programme.
  • Administer Learning Edge / Learning Hub and work closely with platform owners and support teams to resolve issues and improve the learner experience.

Qualifications and required experience:

  • Solid professional experience in a multinational environment, ideally in learning and development, training governance, competence management or a related HSE capability role.
  • Hands-on experience administering learning or competence-management platforms and working with digital learning ecosystems.
  • A track record of managing learning-content development with subject-matter experts, including quality assurance, review and update processes.
  • Confidence coordinating governance cycles or programmes, using data and reporting to communicate meaningful insight to a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to lead through a global network rather than direct authority.
  • A degree — or equivalent experience — in learning and development, HSE, business administration, supply chain or a related field.
