Job Description

The HR Digital Business Partner serves as a strategic catalyst, driving digital transformation of the human resources functions to enhance organizational effectiveness, employee experience, and operational HR efficiency. This role bridges the gap between our People Strategy, HR Digital Strategy, business needs, and technological capabilities, ensuring that digital solutions are leveraged to their full potential in supporting the company’s objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR Operations Leadership Team to design, develop and propose strategic plans that align with operations, people and business objectives.
  • Provide input and shape the necessary project deliveries aligned to strategic plans through the HR Project Portfolio process, including creation/validation of business cases and ROI calculations.
  • Analyze industry trends, market conditions and internal data to provide actionable insights that shape business strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, explore emerging trends and industry best practices, and propose pilots utilizing new technologies, processes, or products.
  • Act as a consultant, offering strategic recommendations to support growth, innovation, and process optimization.
  • Advocate for HR Digital’s strategy, vision and ambition across all work.
  • Partner across HR Operations to maximize ROI from HR technologies in line with vendor releases.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on business priorities and initiatives.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to ensure effective execution of business strategies.
  • Represent the needs and perspectives of HR Operations in discussions with the HR Digital Systems team, collaborating effectively through to conclusion.
  • Quality‑assure strategic digital projects, ensuring architectural design aligns with business objectives.
  • Participate as an active member of relevant project steering committees, uncovering issues and driving effective resolutions or mitigations.

Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive experience in a digital business partner or similar role, with a proven track record of driving business performance and delivering strategic initiatives through technology.
  • Strong hands‑on experience in Workday configuration across multiple functional areas/domains with extensive overall experience in HR technology.
  • Preferred Workday Pro Certification.
  • Previous project‑management experience with a track record of successfully delivering multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience working with senior leadership teams to design and manage cross‑functional projects, and providing data‑driven business insights.
  • Experience in fostering a culture of innovation and creative problem‑solving through strong collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, financial principles, market dynamics and business‑case design and development.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills with a positive, proactive and results‑oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle complex challenges with adaptability and flexibility in responding to changing business needs.

Our site – Jealott’s Hill International Research Centre UK – is situated in pleasant semi‑rural surroundings between Bracknell and Maidenhead and is the place of work for approximately 800 Syngenta scientists and support staff. Jealott’s Hill is one of the main global research and development sites and key activities include research into the discovery of new active ingredients, new formulation technologies, product safety and technical support of our product range. Additional locations in the UK can also be considered.
