As an Engine Prepper, you will be responsible for ensuring that LCV engines are properly cleaned and inspected to meet our high-quality standards. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of engines and a meticulous approach to work.
Key Areas of Responsibility:- Remove and separate gearboxes from engines
- Remove engine ancillaries
- Prepare engines ready for sale including checking quality and testing that they are in good working order
- Imaging engines
- Using our bespoke computer system to add the engines to our inventory system
- Wrapping the engines ready for sale
- Have a good knowledge of vehicle engines
- Have a basic set of tools and impact gun
- Have good computer skills, with the ability to adapt to our bespoke parts software
- Have good attention to detail
- Ability to work in a competent and efficient manner
- Work well on your own or as part of a busy team
- Strong communication skills
You will need to be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and multi-task methodically.
