What You'll Do
- Long‑haul driving: Deliver freight across the UK, often spending nights away in your vehicle.
- Bay‑to‑bay delivery only, with no manual handling: All deliveries are drop‑and‑go, meaning you won't be lifting goods.
- Drive a modern, well‑maintained fleet and be confident in basic navigation and journey planning.
- Follow all road safety rules and company policies, including rest breaks and driving hours.
- Carry out daily checks and report any issues – we pride ourselves on running a reliable, safe fleet.
- Use SNAP accounts and fuel cards for ease on the road.
- Consistent work with five consecutive tramping shifts Sun‑Fri.
Key Requirements
- Full UK C+E License (Class 1): Must hold a valid Class 1 license to operate articulated vehicles.
- Minimum 2 years of HGV experience: Confident on UK roads and understand industry expectations.
- Clean licence preferred: Accept up to 6 points, but no serious endorsements such as TT, DR or IN.
- Fluency in English (preferred).
- UK road law knowledge: Understanding the Highway Code, rest break rules and HGV‑specific regulations.
- Right to work in the UK: Must have valid documents confirming eligibility.
- Pre‑employment screening: Pass drug and alcohol test, background check.
Schedule
- Day and night shifts
- Five days per week, including some weekends
- Overnight tramping required
