Job Description

We are currently recruiting experienced Major Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioners to work within the Theatres department of a well-established private hospital in East Midlands.

The successful candidate will work as part of the multidisciplinary theatre team, supporting surgeons throughout major orthopaedic procedures and ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities will include preparing the operating theatre, checking and preparing surgical instruments and equipment, maintaining the sterile field, assisting during surgical procedures and ensuring compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards.

We are looking for professional, reliable and experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioners who are confident working in a busy theatre environment and have strong experience in major orthopaedic procedures.

Requirements

• Relevant Theatre/Scrub qualification

• Previous UK Theatre experience required

• Recent Major Orthopaedic Scrub experience required

• Experience assisting with major orthopaedic procedures

• Good knowledge of orthopaedic surgical instruments and equipment

• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and infection prevention

• Excellent clinical and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary Theatre team

• Current NMC or HCPC registration, as applicable

• Right to work in the UK
