We’re recruiting a Technical Sales Manager for a growing specialist engineering business that provides technical solutions to customers across the UK. This is a customer facing commercial role, ideal for someone with proven sales, account management or business development experience in a technical, engineering, equipment, utilities, industrial or construction related environment. You don’t need to come from the exact same sector, but you do need to be confident working with technical products or services, asking the right questions, building strong customer relationships and spotting commercial opportunities.
Job duties:
- Visiting customers across the UK to understand their requirements
- Managing and developing existing customer relationships
- Identifying, qualifying and progressing new commercial opportunities
- Working with internal teams on pricing, availability and delivery
- Providing technical, service led solutions rather than purely transactional sales
Role requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, account management or business development
- Background in a technical, engineering, equipment, utilities, industrial or similar environment
- Confident, credible and comfortable meeting customers face to face
- Commercially minded, organised and self-motivated
- Comfortable with regular travel across the UK
- Full UK driving licence
