We’re working with a specialist equipment business in Framlingham that’s looking to add a Service Technician to the team.
The role centres on repairing and maintaining electrical equipment used within their hire fleet, so hands-on electronics experience is a real advantage, someone who’s spent time repairing electronics, using tools and ideally doing a bit of soldering.
What you’ll be doing:
- Fault-finding on inspection kits, monitors and control units
- Repairing or replacing components such as connectors, cables, lights, circuit boards, and small mechanical parts
- Carrying out basic soldering and wiring repairs
- Cleaning, preparing and testing equipment before it goes back out on hire
- Making sure repair notes and service records are kept accurate and up to date
- Keeping the workshop organised and working safely
- Helping with occasional local deliveries/collections when needed
This role will suit:
- Someone with hands-on repair experience; ideally in electronics, wiring, soldering, or similar “bench repair” work
- A practical problem-solver who enjoys taking things apart and fixing them to a high standard
- Happy working on-site in a small, supportive team
- Detailed, methodical, and able to follow repeatable processes
- Full UK driving licence required for occasional vehicle use
