An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Print & Production Operations Manager to join a successful and growing business based in Milton Keynes.
This newly created position has been developed due to continued business growth and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional within the print, production or manufacturing industry to take ownership of day-to-day operations, improve processes and help drive continued success.
As the Print & Production Operations Manager, you will oversee the smooth running of the production operation, managing workflows, customer projects, production schedules and internal teams to ensure work is delivered efficiently, accurately and to the highest standards.
Working closely with the business owner, the successful candidate will play a key role in improving operational performance, supporting growth and ensuring customers receive an excellent service from initial enquiry through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities as a Print & Production Operations Manager
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the production and office operation.
- Manage production schedules, workflow and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Review customer requirements and prepare accurate quotations.
- Manage customer accounts and build strong, long-term relationships.
- Coordinate installation teams and ensure projects are delivered smoothly.
- Monitor workloads, deadlines and priorities across the business.
- Lead, motivate and support production and office teams.
- Ensure high standards of quality, accuracy and customer service are maintained.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and productivity.
- Resolve operational challenges and implement practical solutions.
- Support the planning and delivery of multiple customer projects.
- Work closely with suppliers, customers and internal teams to ensure successful project completion.
- Assist the business owner in driving continued growth and operational improvements.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Print & Production Operations Manager will ideally have previous experience within a print, signage, graphics, manufacturing, production or similar environment.
You will have
Previous management or supervisory experience within a production-led environment.
Strong understanding of print production processes, workflow management and operational delivery.
Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines and priorities.
Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand customer requirements.
A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently, make decisions and take ownership.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
A commitment to delivering high quality work and maintaining excellent standards.
Salary & Benefits
- £38,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience).
- 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
- NEST Pension Scheme.
- Full-time permanent position.
- Office-based role in Milton Keynes.
- 37.5 hours per week.
* Monday to Friday working hours
- Occasional overtime when required.
