About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Customer Service Operator (Customs) to join our team in Felixstowe. Reporting to the Customs Manager, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely customs clearance while providing excellent customer service to clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customs entries using CDS in line with HMRC regulations
- Ensure all customs clearances are accurate and compliant
- Book jobs into the system and manage job files through to completion
- Handle job costing and invoicing accurately
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve queries
- Maintain strong working relationships with partners and clients
- Ensure all SOPs and SLAs are followed at all times
- Complete weekly and monthly reporting tasks as required
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of customs clearance processes and procedures
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proactive approach with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively
- Good level of computer literacy
