This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled joiner or furniture maker who enjoys combining traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing and CAD.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, factory-based position where you'll combine your practical joinery skills with your ability to work from CAD and technical drawings. The business is continuing to grow, so this is an opportunity to join at an exciting time and have a real influence on the development of the furniture manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture high-quality bespoke and batch-produced furniture.
- Read and accurately interpret technical drawings and CAD designs.
- Work from existing CAD drawings and make amendments where required.
- Translate designs into practical, high-quality finished products.
- Cut, machine, joint, assemble and finish furniture to a high standard.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Support prototype development and new product introductions.
- Work closely with the wider team to identify practical manufacturing solutions.
- Suggest improvements to products, processes and production methods.
- Maintain consistently high standards of quality, accuracy and finish.
- Help develop and refine manufacturing processes as the business continues to grow.
About You:
We're looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker, Bench Joiner, Furniture Maker, Production Joiner or similar skilled manufacturing professional. You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience in a factory-based furniture or joinery manufacturing environment.
- Strong practical cabinet making or bench joinery skills.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Recent experience working from CAD drawings.
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Good knowledge of woodworking machinery and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- The ability to work accurately and independently.
- A practical, problem-solving approach.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team.
