About the Role
We are currently recruiting for 4 Production Operatives to join a busy manufacturing environment in Kegworth, Derby. These positions will involve operating packing machinery including over wrappers and palletisers within a fast-paced production setting. This is initially a temporary assignment for a minimum of 8-10 weeks. However, for the right candidates, there may be opportunities to be considered for permanent vacancies following the 12-week period. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate packing machinery safely and efficiently
- Run and monitor over wrappers and palletisers
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
- Pack, label, and prepare finished goods for dispatch
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment
- Follow all health & safety procedures at all times
- Work collaboratively to achieve production targets
Requirements for the role:
- Previous production, warehouse, or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating 3 on / 3 off pattern
- Comfortable working both day and night shifts
- Good attention to detail and ability to work at pace
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to follow instructions
- Comfortable standing for long periods
