Pay Rate: £17.00 - £20.00 per hour (DOE) | Full-Time | Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm with overtime offered
Synergy Plus Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client, a long-established and highly respected precision engineering company based in Leighton Buzzard.
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-equipped, forward-thinking engineering business that supplies high-precision components to sectors such as aerospace, medical, and defence. The successful CNC Miller will be working with a range of CNC milling machines, including Haas and multi-axis setups, producing quality components to tight tolerances in a clean and modern workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate CNC milling machines (3, 4, and 5-axis) mainly Haas and Hurco
- Edit programs using G-code and adjust tooling/offsets as needed
- Read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools
- Maintain high standards of quality and compliance with ISO 9001
- Work independently and as part of a small, skilled team
Ideal Candidate Profile - CNC Miller:
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller, ideally in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing
- Familiar with Haas or similar control systems
- Confident with multi-axis machine setups and operation
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and measurement equipment
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work to tight tolerances
- Experience with CMM inspection is a bonus
