CNC Miller Opportunity

Location: Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire

Pay Rate: £17.00 - £20.00 per hour (DOE) | Full-Time | Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm with overtime offered

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-equipped, forward-thinking engineering business that supplies high-precision components to sectors such as aerospace, medical, and defence. The successful CNC Miller will be working with a range of CNC milling machines, including Haas and multi-axis setups, producing quality components to tight tolerances in a clean and modern workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate CNC milling machines (3, 4, and 5-axis) mainly Haas and Hurco
  • Edit programs using G-code and adjust tooling/offsets as needed
  • Read and interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools
  • Maintain high standards of quality and compliance with ISO 9001
  • Work independently and as part of a small, skilled team

Ideal Candidate Profile - CNC Miller:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller, ideally in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing
  • Familiar with Haas or similar control systems
  • Confident with multi-axis machine setups and operation
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and measurement equipment
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work to tight tolerances
  • Experience with CMM inspection is a bonus
