Mechanical Project Manager – AC & Ventilation Location: Derby / Midlands Salary: £50-60K Sector: Mechanical & Electrical Building Services Mechanical Project Manager | AC & Ventilation Background Synergy Personnel Services are working with an established and highly regarded M&E Building Services contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager who has built their career within commercial building services, ideally with a strong background in Air Conditioning and Ventilation. The business delivers mechanical and electrical projects for a broad range of commercial and residential clients, with particular expertise across air conditioning, ventilation, heating, plumbing and renewable technologies. Their work ranges from smaller projects through to significant, complex design-and-build schemes. The Role As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical projects from initial planning through to completion and handover. You will work closely with clients, main contractors, consultants, suppliers and site teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and to the required quality standards. Your responsibilities will include: * Managing mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion * Planning, coordinating and managing site activities * Managing project programmes, budgets and resources * Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams * Working closely with clients, consultants and main contractors * Monitoring project progress and identifying potential issues before they become problems * Managing variations, valuations and commercial aspects of projects * Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and programme requirements * Coordinating mechanical services with other trades * Overseeing testing, commissioning, snagging and handover * Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality throughout each project The Ideal Candidate We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager who understands the realities of delivering building services projects and can take ownership from start to finish. Ideally, you will have: * Proven experience managing mechanical building services projects * A strong background in Air Conditioning and/or Ventilation * Experience with systems such as VRF/VRV, MVHR, AHUs, mechanical extract or associated HVAC systems would be advantageous * Experience working for a mechanical contractor, M&E contractor or specialist building services business * Strong commercial and project management awareness * The ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities * Excellent communication and organisational skills * A practical, solutions-focused approach to project delivery * The confidence to deal directly with clients, consultants and contractors Why Consider It?
