Estimator in Reading

Synergy Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a well-established flat roofing contractor specialising in single ply membrane systems, including Sika and Bauder. With over 30 years’ experience, the company delivers high-quality solutions across both new build and refurbishment projects. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Flat Roofing Estimator to join their team based in Reading. Key Responsibilities • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for flat roofing projects • Analyse drawings, specifications and tender documents • Price materials, labour and associated project costs • Produce detailed handover packs, including cost breakdowns and comparisons • Manage variations on live projects • Maintain accurate records of tenders, estimates and quotations • Work closely with operations and delivery teams • Build and maintain strong client relationships Requirements • Proven experience as a Flat Roofing Estimator (essential) (knowledge of single ply membrane flat roofing) • Strong knowledge of single ply membrane systems, ideally Sika and/or Bauder • Good working knowledge of Excel (Bluebeam desirable) • Understanding of construction methods for new build and refurbishment projects • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills • Able to commute to Caversham, Reading • Professional, reliable and team-focused attitude Benefits • Competitive salary (dependent on experience) • Free on-site parking or 20-minute riverside walk from Reading town centre • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays • Life and accident cover • Healthcare cashback scheme with 24/7 GP access • Pension scheme To apply, please submit your CV or contact Synergy Personnel for more information
