Location: Fareham, UK

Our client is a growing and dynamic construction management company with a strong reputation for quality, professionalism, and safety. They specialise in delivering high-quality projects within live retail environments, where attention to detail and safety are critical.

As they continue to expand, we are looking for a dedicated Health & Safety Officer to join their team and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our safety standards across all operations.

The Role

This is a hands-on, influential position where you will take ownership of health and safety across our live construction sites and office operations. You will ensure full compliance while actively promoting a strong, positive safety culture throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular health & safety inspections and audits across live sites and office environments
  • Maintain, review, and update company health & safety policies and procedures
  • Manage and renew accreditations and compliance documentation
  • Deliver safety meetings, training sessions, and toolbox talks
  • Produce clear, professional reports, risk assessments, and safety documentation
  • Investigate incidents and implement effective corrective actions
  • Champion best practice and embed a proactive safety-first culture

What We’re Looking For

You will be a confident and organised professional with a practical approach to safety management. Ideally, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role (construction or similar industry preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and best practice
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or currently working towards)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work independently while supporting teams on-site and in the office
