Synergy Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for a residential new build and conversion project near Portsmouth, Hampshire. A respected regional developer is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of this mixed project. This is a 15-month direct contract with the client, offering a key commercial role on a high-quality scheme.
The Role
- Managing commercial duties from procurement through to final accounts
- Preparing and reviewing cost plans, valuations, and financial reports
- Procuring subcontractors and managing ongoing commercial relationships
- Monitoring project costs, variations, and contractual compliance
- Working closely with the Site and Project Management teams to ensure financial control
- Working within a team of Surveyors and reporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor based on site
- Supporting the client with accurate forecasting and cost-to-complete analysis
About You
- Have proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on residential projects
- Understand the commercial demands of both new build and conversion schemes
- Are confident managing procurement, cost control, and contract administration
- Bring strong analytical skills and a proactive, detail-driven approach
- Communicate clearly and build strong working relationships with project teams and subcontractors
